Interesting Easter Egg In Skyward Sword Trailer

Well skeptics everywhere have finally gotten around to reversing the Skyward Sword GDC trailer, and revealed one of the most easily recognizable songs from the Zelda universe, Zelda’s Lullaby. The video embedded below plays the trailer normally, then reverses midway through, so if you want to hear just the reversal, skip to about 1:00. This finding raises a few questions. Do you think this was placed purposely by Nintendo?

It could be that the chords played backwards were simply the inspiration for the song, but I do suspect that there may be some planning behind this. The phrasing sounds way off, but that’s understandable, and Zelda’s Lullaby gets mangled in some of the transition moments of the audio when played forward.
