Daily Debate: Do You Buy These Nintendo Switch 2 Rumors?

In the years since its release, the Nintendo Switch has seen its fair share of success. The console boasts over 129 million units sold, with the number rising by the day. Although the Big N shows no signs of slowing down the Switch hype train, it has been a little over six years since the console hit shelves.

We’ve not heard any official news regarding the company’s next hardware upgrade. This lack of news has not stopped fans from speculating, however, as there have been a number of Nintendo insiders reportedly claiming that a “Nintendo Switch 2” is on the way, and sooner than we expect. Several insiders, including “key partner studios” and manufacturers, have reportedly even claimed that we’re getting the “next-gen” console in late 2024, but an official announcement has not been made.

While a new console would be nice, it’s incredibly hard to foresee the new system coming within a year, especially without an announcement. Personally, I would love to see a new, updated Switch, but I’m not sure I buy the rumors that slate it for release so soon.
