Over the past 30 years, Zelda games have spanned an intricate, if cyclical game series. Some of these entries undoubtedly felt more complete in their final product form than others for the game developers. Mr. Eiji Aonuma certainly set the standard high for Breath of the Wild when he set out to make it the most complete Zelda title thus far: Mike Diver: Back in 2015, you said that your ambition for this title was for it to be the ultimate, most complete Zelda…

If you’ve ever heard of a little site called Etsy, you’ll know that it’s filled with a plethora of fantastic fan creations for The Legend of Zelda series, and a lot of other games, movies, TV shows, and a whole lot more. The best part? A lot of the items aren’t even that expensive. User GameVetz has made a really cool wooden replica of the Skyward Sword chest. While it isn’t the actual size the chest would be in-game, measuring up at (L x W…

Eric and yours truly have returned with another episode of the NP Podcast reigning out of

Nintendo Prime. This week on the podcast, we discuss why we were extremely let down by the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon demo. We also dive deep into potentially the juiciest Nintendo Switch rumors yet, including some fine details about Mario Switch. As a side note, all of the amazing canvas art seen in the background of the video version was graciously provided by etsy user Canvas64. Be sure to check out their shop to get some of this gorgeous art for yourself…

Nintendo just held an investors meeting going over the financial results for the recent fiscal quarter and during this naturally came some conversations about the Nintendo Switch. One aspect that will likely be a bit upsetting for some is confirmation that Nintendo will not talk about specs or price for the system until next year. This was previously rumored but it’s nice to hear from the horse’s mouth. On the flip side, Nintendo says they are listening to consumer feedback on what the price point should be (which is bouncing between $250 and $300 typically) and reiterated they will not sell the system for a loss.

Naturally, price expectations at the consumer level are highly dependent on the specs, so most of the speculation today is based upon rumors, rather than legit information. We’ll know more likely in January.

The Nintendo Prime Podcast invades Zelda Informer with its third episode as a slightly new flavor of coverage will be hitting here once per week. The Nintendo Prime Podcast is, you guessed it, the official podcast of

NintendoPrime.net. That site is my personal passion project that will focus on news and original content about the whole of Nintendo – a much broader place than our amazing coverage of the Zelda series here. You may be asking – wait, why is this podcast being posted here? We decided at the management level that we wanted to share with folks once per week thoughts and such surrounding Nintendo from more than just the Zelda perspective…

Defeating bosses with odd control set ups has been an increasingly popular trend in the gaming community. YouTuber SSB ATwerkingYoshi continues this trend by defeating Ocarina of Time bosses with the DK Bongos.

The reveal for the next console in Nintendo’s line up has just launched and if you missed the memo, it is the Nintendo Switch. This new console is aptly titled as the console has multiple ways of playing and players can easily “switch” between those. The console can click into a docking stand for playing at home, or, players can attach small controllers to the sides of the game pad and create a portable gaming system. The portable pad looks kind of like a tablet with connected controllers, to give you an idea…

A majority of the community has accepted credible reports painting Nintendo NX to be a home and handheld console—a hybrid, if you will. While this may be the case, some are pointing to Nintendo’s official website, which calls NX their “next home gaming system.” Fans are assuming this rules out the hybrid rumor, but that’s one interpretation. We’ll know for sure tomorrow.

Laura Kate Dale, who we’ve sourced in the past, claims the purpose of Nintendo’s home console “branding” is so…
