Listen to this Lively Dragon Roost Island Cover
Posted on August 13 2018 by Sean Gadus
Dragon Roost Island is one of the most iconic locations in The Wind Waker. The volcanic home of the flying Rito clan is one of the first locations that Link visits in his long journey, and one of the most beautiful. With this in mind, it is fitting that the Dragon Roost Island theme is lively and summons feelings of adventure and wonder.
This orchestral cover of Dragon Roost Island by TriFantasy does a wonderful job of capturing the energy of the original composition. While the trio doesn’t have percussion instruments, they use clapping to simulate the rhythm that opens the song. Additionally, the string players use very precise bowing throughout the song, which helps the musicians recreate the sounds and rhythms of Dragon Roost Island.
