Mother Maiamai

Maiamai are pink creatures with shells on their backs, resembling a hermit crab in real life. Due to their small size they can be hard to see and most of the time they are completely hidden from view. To start the quest to look for Maiamai, you must speak to Mother Maiamai. Mother Maiamai can be found in a cave just southeast of your house. You will need the bombs to blow up the boulder blocking the cave. Inside you will find Mother Maiamai. If you speak with her she will inform you that she has lost all 100 of her babies, and will request that you find them while on your journey. For every ten Maiamai you get, she will upgrade your items. If you find all 100 of her babies, she will upgrade your spin attack to the great spin attack, making it double its original size.
