Breath of the Wild

A Cobble Crusher is a two-handed weapons with a very slow use time and a power of 15. It can be used to mine Ore Deposits with great efficiency. This weapon can typically be found in lone locations around the Eldin province, for example in Goron City.

If Link loses or breaks the Boulder Breaker, Rohan the blacksmith will need 1 Cobble Crusher, 5 pieces of Flint, and 1 Diamond in order to make a new one.

As a mining weapon, it is especially effective against Taluses, dealing 2x the usual damage to them for an effective base attack power of 38. This makes it a solid weapon, though it will be outclassed by almost all of its alternatives; Iron Sledgehammer, Drillshaft, Stone Smasher and Boulder Breaker.

Cobble Crushers can be obtained for Daruk's use. They are his weakest type of weapon, superseded by Stone Smashers and Boulder Breakers.

Tears of the Kingdom

As a result of The Upheaval, most Cobble Crushers found in the game are significantly decayed, now with a base power of about 9. However, undecayed Cobble Crushers can be found around the Eldin region of the Depths being held by the lingering spirits of Hyrule Soldiers atop numerous pedestals. These are distinguished by the name "Cobble Crusher✨" and have a base power of 14. In this game, it is the only base-weapon intended for breaking rocks, as Stone Smashers, Iron Sledgehammers, and Drillshafts are no longer present, having been removed entirely. A Cobble Crusher of any type is required to craft the Boulder Breaker. Like in Breath of the Wild, the weapon deals more damage against Talus and Frox weak points but this time, it does 1.5x damage.
