Hardhat Beetles are first encountered within the [[Tower of Hera]] atop of [[Death Mountain]]. These slow moving creatures have a lot of armor, causing [[Link]] to ricochet back after he hits one of these enemies with his [[Fighter's Sword]]. When there are holes in the floor or other enemies nearby, Hardhat Beetles can be quite the obstacle, as the ricochet can send Link down a hole or right into another enemy. | |||
There are two forms of Hardhat Beetles, although they are nearly identical to one another. The sole difference is that the Red Hardhat Beetles have more health and will take more damage to defeat. | |||
To avoid the ricochet threat, Link can attack Hardhat Beetles in a number of different ways. Link can use [[Bomb]]s or the [[Hookshot]] to temporarily stun them, making it much safer to deliver a sword slash. | |||
