These slow moving creatures have a lot of armor, causing [[Link]] to ricochet back after he hits one of these enemies with his [[Fighter's Sword]].  To avoid the ricochet threat, Link can attack Hardhat Beetles in a number of different ways. Link can use [[Bomb]]s or the [[Hookshot]] to temporarily stun them, making it much safer to deliver a sword slash.
