Manhandla is a boss that is encountered in Ancient Ruins, the sixth dungeon in Oracle of Seasons.

Strategy

Manhandla's Buzz Blob Form
Once Link enters the room, Manhandla's four flowers each have a wide mouth that will constantly be opening and closing throughout the battle, shooting fireballs at Link. To fight Manhandla, Link must use his Magical Boomerang and hit the flowers with it. The flowers can only be damaged when they are open, so he will have to aim carefully. Each flower will take about three hits to kill. Manhandla will also move slightly more quickly after each flower is severed. Once all four flowers have been destroyed, Manhandla will run around the room very fast in a "figure 8" motion. Link can then hit the main body with his boomerang. After several strikes, the body will split apart to reveal a core. This core can now be hit with Link's Sword unmercifully. Once Link defeats Manhandla, he is rewarded with a Heart Container and the sixth Essence of Nature, the Blowing Wind.

Interestingly, the body of Manhandla is a Buzz Blob that resembles the Giant Buzz Blob seen in the Color Dungeon in Link's Awakening and also resembles the Big Green ChuChu seen in the Deepwood Shrine in The Minish Cap.
