For the past few weeks, we have featured fan submitted stories as well as ones widely accepted as treasures in the Zelda fan fiction community. Last week even gave us a chance to laugh with “The Hero Complex”. This week on Fan Fiction Friday, we are privileged to bring a story that is highly praised by other readers: “The Doppelganger Trilogy” by our fan The Wolfess.

Not to be confused with our previous entry “The Doppelganger”, this story follows Link on his adventures after the events of Twilight Princess. Link is struggling with the beast within himself. The temptations of his wild nature run deep as he tries to revive a corrupt Hyrule and its princess.

As the title implies, this is broken up into three parts. The first is titled “The Hero of Wolves” and can be read in its entirety. The second book, “Shadow Kingdom”, has been confirmed by The Wolfess to have its last chapter published on September 1st with a little teaser into the final book, “Doppelganger”. I cannot give any plot details for the second book as it would contain spoilers, so you will just have to read the first one for yourself.

I’ve read very little of this trilogy so far, but based on the dedication that shows from The Wolfess’ writing, promotion, and fan support, this trilogy is an incredible piece of genuine work, and I can’t wait to sit beside all of you and follow it to completion.

As always, if you have any works of your own, please submit them in the comments section, and you will be featured in a future Fan Fiction Friday. Don’t be discouraged if you aren’t a writer though; you can always give us a link to your favorite fan works, and it might be featured as well. Just remember, our fans are our priority, so fan written works come first.

Note: As always, please refrain from hating on fan made works in the comments section. While some may not enjoy works posted by our fans, others will, and we wish to keep a friendly environment for all fans of the Zelda series. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but we want our fans to feel safe in sharing work they have passionately created here on Zelda Informer. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
