UPDATE: All New Zelda 3DS Title Arriving This Holiday Season (HD Trailer)

The biggest news today was saved for last, and while it wasn’t the announcement everyone was expecting, it’s just as exciting. Why? Because we are getting an all new Zelda 3DS game (the first unique Zelda game on the system) this holiday. It’s features a top down perspective with 3D visuals… and it takes place in the world of A Link to the Past. It’s notable that this is not, in fact, a remake of A Link to the Past in that of itself. It’s an all new Legend of Zelda experience.

There are a ton of new features and great things showed off.

– It’s an All new Legend of Zelda game for the 3DS

– It is not A Link to the Past 3D, but it does take place in the same world as A Link to the Past

– It will feature 3D like puzzles – including jumping between different levels of height

– There is a special mode that allows you to crawl along walls in a 2D sticker like fashion. Sets up all new puzzles.
