Warning: This post contains spoilers for Hyrule Warriors.
With the update of the Official Website in Japan comes new details for Hyrule Warriors, with this batch focusing on the stages in Hyrule Warriors. As always with translations, there are bound to be a few errors as Japanese does not translate extremely well into English, but for the most part we will have a good idea of what to expect from some of the stages.
Gerudo Desert
- Related to the desert seen in Twilight Princess
- Located in the eastern part of Hyrule in front of Death Valley
- There was a Gerudo Tribe Village, but it has been overrun with monsters
Temple of the Sacred Sword
- based on the Lost Woods in A Link to the Past
- Located in West Hyrule
- Originally was a beautiful city that has now been turned to ruin
- Time appears to have stopped inside the Temple, which was part of the ruined city
- Link pulls the Master Sword here
- The sword shines after Link pulls it – confirming he is the hero.
The Palace of the Mind
- Exists in a different dimension and makes a sudden appearance in Hyrule
- Has a garden where roses bloom in profusion with eerie color no matter what season it is
- Twisted trees with tentacle like shape grow here
- Palace itself contains holes that connect to a deep abyss
- Structures also appear to be twisted like the trees
- Anyone near the holes will feel anxiety emerge from the bottom of their hearts
- It is inferred that the palace might not be real*
- Seems to be someone’s mental state – a world taking place inside someone’s mind*
- The mind of the “palace owner” is riddled with obsession, hatred, and jealousy which is why everything appears twisted
Other Story Details
- Ganondorf is the one who summons Zant and Ghirahim in exchange for them agreeing to obey him.
- Link, Zelda, Sheik, Impa, and Ganondorf are all from the Hyrule Warriors universe, not from the worlds that get drawn into it.
*Details are not wholly confirmed, but are hinted at.
