A Kickstarter Campaign for the Young Hero

Here’s a Kickstarter campaign for those too young to hold up the weighty Hylian Shield (or those who just appreciate a good replica shield). Whether you’ve got some pesky Octoroks or Deku Shrubs to deal with, this shield is sure to get the job done.

The man behind this quality creation, Brian Rice, began this project as he was unable to find replicas of the iconic Deku Shield online. Originally created as a gift to his younger brother, others admired his work, leading him to start this campaign. With only a modest funding goal of $300, over two-thirds of that goal already pledged, and a little under three weeks left, this project will surely come to fruition. The question remains, however, as to whether or not you’ll be one of its backers.

For those who don’t want to put out $60 for a shield (with a handwritten thank you note, mind you!), he also is offering a Deku Shield keychain (also with a note) for $10, as well as a Triforce bracelet for $13. Of course, if you’re planning of fighting any Like Likes any time soon and don’t mind shelling out the extra cash, you can get two shields for $50 apiece.
