Caption Contest 008: “So you’re sure that I’m not going to slam into a wall, right?”

Maybe it’s just my work schedule, but how is it already Monday again? Alright then, I guess that means that we should go ahead and get this week’s Caption Contest underway.

Last week, Link ruined a perfectly good picture and some of you found funny ways to capture the moment in words. I should have figured some lines would get crossed, but it at least made for some good entertainment. This week, we are using a snap from one of my favorite scenes in the entire series: the barrel catapult scene from The Wind Waker. Remember to leave your captions in the comments below and upvote the ones you want to see win next week.

Oh! I almost forgot something. Last week, we also took a vote on who we thought Link should end up with:

Ilia or Zelda? While we had one vote for Midna and another for a Zelda/Ilia hybrid, the vote was between those two specifically. Well, the truth is…they tied. So, I guess the only way to make this fair is:

Here are the updated rules:

• Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
• Keep the image as close as possible to it’s original form (minimal photo editing). This is the Caption Contest, our Photoshop Contest is held on Fridays.
• If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
• Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
• Have fun and be creative!

If you accidentally post as a guest, simply log in and reply to your comment with your username. If you post your caption as an image and it doesn’t load, wait 5-10 minutes and check back, it usually just takes a few minutes to load properly.
