Happy Monday, everybody. The Zelda Informer Caption Contest is back again, albeit with a few changes. Since I first took over contest many months ago, the Caption Contest has discouraged Photoshopping and image manipulation as a way to maintain the sanctity of a caption-based competition, also owing in part to a Photoshop contest taking place over the weekend. I’ve fudged this rule a bit, but I’ve largely stuck to the precedent. Well, after some consideration, I have decided that photo editing and manipulation will now be allowed in Caption Contest as its own category. Much like the non-photo captions, I will always include a third category for Photoshop winners, assuming such entries exist. The floodgates are open, people. So, with business out of the way, let’s get back to the fun.

And here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • Art1st4786: “I’m too lazy to climb this mountain again.”
  • Jebradiah Drake: “So the Sheikah could manage to create age altering, time manipulating, and teleporting technology, yet they couldn’t manage to defeat Ganon without the help of a whiny little boy and his annoying talking sword?”
  • BravestWarrior: “These new cooking pots are really something to look at. Well, better get started on my meal.”
  • Zayzay: “Is this some korok puzzle crap?”
  • Dylan: “*insert the sliders theme* In this universe Green tunics are earned! I better go to another universe!”

This Week’s Contest:

Link is grilling up some spicy memes just in time for the Fourth of July barbecue.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
