Our Zelda Versus Best Zelda Dungeon Tournament has returned, though we’re changing up how votes are collected this time around. The problem at Zelda Informer is that the poll system is fundamentally broken and all the embed-able options from “free poll makers” provide various amount of issues. Thus, as we continue to push forward with Zelda Versus, we are going to do a two pronged approach. First, we’ll have this poll for each match-up right here on Nintendo Prime’s forums (the Zelda Informer forums are, at this time, broken). In addition, a poll will be ran on our twitter, and then we’ll combine the results to get a final victor in each match-up…

Our Best Zelda Dungeon Tournament returns from the brink of extinction to continue our first round heading into E3. This time around it pits Stone Tower Temple from Majora’s Mask against the Sand Temple from Spirit Tracks. This is a tough choice personally as Stone Tower Temple is among my favorites from a design perspective, where as the Sand Temple is among my favorites purely based upon mechanics. That sand rod is just pure joy.

The last time we held a round one vote was way back on May 9th, where Tower of the Gods took out Thieves’ Town with 58% of the total vote. Who will move on this time?

Our Zelda Versus Best Zelda Dungeon Tournament presses onward with Theive’s Town from A Link to the Past facing off against Tower of the Gods from The Wind Waker. I understand some folks have been unable to view the larger version of our round one bracket, so I am giving you a direct link. Our first matchup had the Sky Realm from Tri Force Heroes moving on while our last matchup has Ancient Ruins from Oracle of Seasons moving on. Today’s matchup is the first one where two console game’s dungeons have gone head to head. Which one will move on to round two…

It’s been a long journey, but after four preliminary matchups and 18 full game polls combined with numerous back and forth emails with a lovely fan doing all of the image work, we have finally arrived to Round One of our Zelda Versus Best Zelda Dungeon Tournament. I’ve learned a lot through this journey, including the sheer difficulty of conducting such an extensive series. This is by far our most difficult Zelda Versus to organize to date, but we’re hoping the journey and final results will prove just how worthwhile this all is. Today, in our very first Round One matchup, we have Parapa Palace from The Adventure of Link facing off against the Sky Realm from Tri Force Heroes

The final matchup of Round Zero for our Zelda Versus Best Zelda Dungeon Tournament has arrived, pitting Snowpeak Ruins from Twilight Princess against Palace of Winds from The Minish CapIn our last matchup, Spirit Temple from Ocarina of Time dominated Vaati’s Palace from Four Swords taking 93% of the vote. The dungeons today are both brilliant for very different reasons and both explore some pretty entertaining and unique themes. Which one do you think is better? Choose wisely…

Our Zelda Versus Best Zelda Dungeon Tournament Round Zero presses forward with the Spirit Temple from Ocarina of Time facing off against Vaati’s Palace from Four Swords. Two days ago Lorule Castle from A Link Between Worlds faced off against Turtle Rock from Link’s Awakening. The result? Lorule Castle has made it into our final bracket, winning with 61% of the vote. Who wins today? While I certainly have my own guess as to who will win, you are the ones that get to decide. Both dungeons are excellent for extremely different reasons…

Our second matchup of Round Zero for our Best Zelda Dungeon Tournament with Lorule Castle from A Link Between Worlds facing off against Turtle Rock from Link’s Awakening. Yesterday we pitted the Ancient Tomb from Oracle of Ages against the Earth Temple from The Wind Waker… with the Earth Temple cruising to an easy victory with 78% of the vote. Who advances today? You decide…

Our best Zelda Dungeon tournament, part of the Zelda Versus series, is finally ready to get under way after a two month hiatus. The original plan was to run this tournament through February to wrap up heading into march so by now in April, we’d have our second Zelda Versus tournament of the year under way. While making the actual bracket internally, we ran into several issues creating the images for the bracket that caused a huge delay. In a rush we went to social media seeking help, and thankfully we found that help in a fan named Javier. Unfortunately for us his first language wasn’t English and all communications is over email, so there was a break down in communication and even some misunderstanding, leading to several delays…

We’ve reached the final poll in our preliminary round with the full tournament bracket to begin just next week. The Legend of Zelda (NES) is the game that started it all. As an all time classic that will likely never be forgotten, it gave us the setup that may arguably be used in future titles down the road – including the not too distant Zelda U. That being said, today we’re here to determine which two dungeons make our final bracket. Be sure to vote on your favorite…

With just three games left to cast votes on, A Link the Past steps up as one of the true pillars in the series. Boasting an impressive 14 dungeons (13 in the original release, extra 14th dungeon in the Four Swords pack-in release on GBA), it will truly be hard to pinpoint which two dungeons deserve to move on to the final bracket. Still, that is exactly the task we are here to do today as we all vote on our favorite dungeon in the entire game…
