On February 1st, Nintendo reported their financial results for the third quarter of 2020. The report focuses on the company’s overall status, performance results, Switch sales and more.

Below are total Nintendo Switch sales as of Q3 2020, which were very impressive compared to the two previous quarters. The full report is rather long, so if you would like to read the full thing, you can check that out here.

– Switch hardware total – 79.87 million
– Switch software total – 532.34 million

– Switch sales in Q1 – 3.05 million
– Switch sales in Q2 – 5.31 million
– Switch sales in Q3 – 8.41 million
– Total Switch sales for the period – 16.77 million

– Switch Lite sales in Q1 – 2.62 million
– Switch Lite sales in Q2 – 1.55 million
– Switch Lite sales in Q3 – 3.16 million
– Total Switch Lite sales for the period – 7.33 million

– Switch forecast: 26.5 million for hardware, 205.0 million for software

During the third quarter of 2020, titles like Paper Mario: The Origami King, Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Animal Crossing and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe were among the highest sellers. Sales were also favorable for downloadable content like The Crown Tundra expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield.

There was no mention of any Zelda-related titles in the report, but I would like to imagine at Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will contribute a lot to the fourth quarter’s sales. Koei Tecmo has already reported that Age of Calamity has shipped over 3.5 million units.

What do you make of these numbers? Did you pick up any of the titles that were mentioned in the report? Let us know in the comments below!
