Rescue Knights are from The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. They save you if you fall of Skyloft. If they do save you they will lecture you on safety before flying off with a whooping yell. They and their birds have special night headgear for night patrol so that they can still catch you when the sun is down. Not such gear is available for you, the player, in the game.

Rescue Knights are characters from Skyward Sword.

Skyward Sword

Albat (female) and Hauk (male) are the Rescue Knights, the highest ranked knights at the Knight Academy. In order to become a Rescue Knight, a student has to graduate from the senior class.[1] They protect the people of Skyloft by patrolling around the town, saving anyone who falls off the edge.[2] If they catch Link, they tell him to be very careful before flying off with a whooping yell.[3] During the nighttime, only trained knights like the Rescue Knights are allowed to fly on their Loftwings.[4] They and their birds have special night headgear for night patrol so that they can still patrol Skyloft when the sun is down.

At the beginning of the Wing Ceremony, they can be found flying through the air, colored smoke trailing behind the three knights.

  1. "All set for today's big Wing Ceremony? If you come away with a win, you'll move on up to the senior class. Then after you graduate, you get to be a rescue knight. Those knights sure do keep order here in Skyloft, and I don't have to tell you that it's a pretty big deal to become one. I'd like to see you make it." — Jakamar, Skyward Sword.
  2. "Let me give you some information you might find useful somewhere down the line. The Knight Academy you and your friends attend produces some first-class Loftwing riders. Keep your nose to the grindstone, and you might find yourself soaring through the skies and protecting the good folk of Skyloft too. Don't know if you've met 'em or not, but the rescue knights save anyone clumsy enough to fall off of Skyloft. Only the Knight Academy's seniors are invited to join that group. They're the best of the best! You might just have what it takes to join them, but don't think it'll be easy. No slacking, you hear! Guess I should tell you my grandson's one of 'em! Heh heh heh." — Croo, Skyward Sword.
  3. "Watch your step there! You can't always depend on knights like me to swoop in and save you." — Recue Knight, Skyward Sword.
  4. "Watch your footing out there! In the dark you never know when you might take a wrong step off a ledge. Oh, and don't let me catch you going out flying at night. Only trained knights such as myself should be doing that. You take care now!" — Rescue Knight, Skyward Sword.
