A Shadow Vermin is an enemy Link will encounter in Twilight Princess. They are small, black creatures that can move on land and in water. Link will first encounter them on his way to Princess Zelda in the Castle Town Sewers. They will make further appearances whenever Link is in the Twilight, and in the Palace of Twilight. They are easily defeated with an attack from Wolf Link or a sword slash from Hylian Link. They're fairly annoying, and are not that much of a threat by themselves. However, groups of them can be quite difficult, so Spin Attacks are the best method of attack.
Shadow Vermins are found in the Palace of Twilight, as well as the Twilight-covered Castle Town Sewers, Faron Woods, and Death Mountain.
