Black Beetles are enemies from The Minish Cap.[1] They are one of two variants of the Beetle that appear in The Minish Cap, along with Red Beetle.
The Minish Cap
Beetles appear beneath bushes, rocks and pots along your journey, as well as within patches of dirt that are destroyed with the Mole Mitts. They will jump up and stick to Link. When Beetles grab hold of Link, you cannot swing your sword and you will move noticeably slower with them on you. Press B repeatedly to throw them off. To defeat a Beetle, just slash it with your sword. Black Beetles are the more common of the two variants, often appearing beneath rocks.
