The hype train for the upcoming Hyrule Warriors isn’t running out of fuel anytime soon. Koei Tecmo has recently uploaded another entry in their character series, this time focusing on Sheik, who hails from the main series Zelda game Ocarina of Time. In this video, she is seen fighting with a deadly combination of her harp and throwing knives, and looks fantastic doing so. Even more amazing is that her harp has the power to summon the elements. She also plays more familiar tunes from past Zelda games, akin to the way Princess Zelda can with the baton. Because music has played such an important part in the Zelda series, it is great to see her and the Princess use these classic instruments for battle.

Attention to detail is so important, and Koei Tecmo delivers once again. Sheik’s introduction is a brief but lovely reference to one of her scenes in Ocarina of Time. What I also appreciate about her character redesign in Hyrule Warriors is how much more refined and detailed her outfit is. Sheik has always looked like an expert in stealth, but now even more so. To top it all off, her attacks seem to be influenced by the combat style of ninjutsu. So far, she looks to be one of the most versatile and agile players yet. My personal favorite move out of all we are shown is the finale for sure.

Are you excited to play as Sheik in Hyrule Warriors? I can’t wait to. As always, share your thoughts with us below.
