It’s finally Hyrule Warriors day in Japan, folks! This also means spoilers are bound to be lurking in every corner. Following the Japanese release of the game, Koei Tecmo has uploaded the final character trailer in their series. This one is for Lord Ghirahim, the third playable villain in the game. He looks absolutely glamorous in his introduction, and, from that alone, it looks like the team has captured his personality perfectly. So fabulous! With equal measures of both sass and class, Ghirahim proceeds to show us the extent of his powers. Some of the footage may look familiar since it was shown briefly in the Nintendo Direct, and that is the case for Zant as well. In the video, we see the demon lord battling it out in one of the newly revealed stages: the Temple of the Sacred Sword.

Just like in

Skyward Sword, he is able to use his teleportation abilities in a few of his attacks. He also transforms into his weapon’s namesake for yet another strike, but what looks to be the most interesting of all is his momentary use of his sword spirit form. It is used as an attack speed boost and is matched with a lethal finisher that clears an impressive amount of enemies.

He is certainly pleased with the mayhem he has caused. That, in my opinion, makes a villainous character all the more interesting. I’ll admit it is slightly hilarious to see him, of all characters, destroying the

Bokoblins in battle, considering they were once his minions. He might punish them either way though. If you provoke Ghirahim enough he will reveal his ruthless nature, albeit in a way that makes some of us uncomfortable. I think he’s a dear. For those of you who have played Skyward Sword, are you excited to finally take hold of his power? The villain story mode should be quite the interesting twist.
