Breath of the Wild Game Awards Trailer Receives an In-depth Fan Analysis

GameXplain painstakingly poured over the newly released Breath of the Wild trailer, so that they could try to answer some of the many questions that have surrounded the upcoming Zelda title. The result of the effort put in by those at GameXplain is a near frame by frame analysis of the new content. Close attention to detail was given during both the analysis and commentary of the video, and from that attention to detail arises possible story related answers to Link’s slumber and Hyrule’s fate.

GameXplain first mentions the importance that the opening tapestry and correlating images have in the set-up of Breath of the Wild’s possible story. The three acts of the tapestry detail the rise of civilization and technology. The theme of technology is further carried into an analysis of the airship scene, as well as some speculation as to the bird person’s connection to Link. The analysis then focuses on the possibility of the story of Link’s journey being told through both flashbacks and present moments and how to tell the difference between the two times.
