Miiverse Highlights: #WeeklySuggestions

Welcome to yet another Miiverse Highlights: ZeldaI nformer‘s Thursday Weekly Feature! Last week we held our second #WeeklyChallenge in which we celebrate the upcoming release of Majora’s Mask 3D by asking everyone to draw us their favorite mask from the game! Those that wanted a higher chance to get their drawing featured could draw someone other than Link using or wearing the mask. Now that the week has passed, it’s my duty to look at all of the responses and choose the most original, funny and/or passionate pieces of art we received.

If you’re new to this feature, here’s how things go down. Miiverse Highlights consists of two things, a #WeeklyChallenge and a #WeeklyPoll. When a #WeeklyChallenge is issued, Zelda fans will be asked to draw something based on the Miiverse Community the challenge is posted in for a chance to have their drawing featured on our site. A #WeeklyPoll, on the other hand, will ask a question based on the series or a specific game where, after the week is done, I will take the most-voted answer and choose the best drawings and screenshots on Miiverse that I can find based on that answer.

It seems that, just like our first #WeeklyChallenge, this week’s feature has been rather unsuccessful. In fact, it did worse than our first challenge. In the span of 7 days, our Miiverse post only managed to get two drawings. Our first #WeeklyPoll, however, managed to get a pretty good amount of responses and turned out to be a lot more successful than our #WeeklyChallenges.

Because of this, I’ve decided to open up suggestions for Miiverse Highlights. The whole point of this feature is to be able to not only take advantage of Miiverse’s fantastic community, but also get to connect with our audience and form our very own community. So, if you have any ideas on how we could improve our #WeeklyChallenges, or if you have a good idea for a new #Weekly event, please let us know down in the comments!

But in any case, just because we only received two submissions doesn’t mean we’re not gonna feature them! So, without further ado, here are the two drawings we received!

Simple and to the point, a user going by the name Red1456 drew us the Bunny Hood as their favorite mask from the game! [Ok, it may not be an actual mask, but it works like one in-game.]

We may not have received many submissions, but even if we did I’m sure this one would have still been one of my favorites. Nummonkee has drawn us a fantastic piece featuring Anju and Kafei, both stretching their arms out towards the game’s physical manifestation of their undying love, the Couple’s Mask. A fantastic piece of art.

Now, on to this week’s event! Since last week we had our #WeeklyChallenge, it’s time for another #WeeklyPoll! With less than a day before Majora’s Mask 3D comes out, this new poll will also celebrate it’s upcoming release. This time around, we ask everyone in The Legend of Zelda Series Community to tell us what their #1 favorite character is from the game!
