The Zelda

fanbase produces multitudes of amazing things—from Master Swords, cosplays, to

even pencil drawings in notebooks.

Today, let us take a look at A Link Between

Worlds. If you have ever adventured

into the guts of Deviant Art, you know that a lot of interesting things come

up. Today we have exactly that; 8 wonderful pieces, each unique in

their own ways.

Starting off with Link-LeoB’s piece, we are given a stunning, almost official looking wallpaper. Using their respective software, they made official art as well as other fan art to create an eye-catching poster either for your desktop or just your own enjoyment. The wallpaper is definitely a nice change to the official backgrounds that I have had on my monitor for the past few weeks, and it should brighten your’s too!

In this next piece by Phoenixboy, we are given a “bivalve-esque” type picture, we see the lovely

Zelda bathed in the light of the

Triforce with Link’s 3D image underneath her. The other half shows Link’s 2D

picture form from the game and new power, contrasted by Hilda’s darker drawn setting around

the inverted Triforce.

Tsuku-sama could not wait to get her hands on A Link Between Worlds and showed her

passion with this creative and flowing piece. To me, this really felt like

playing the game! She captured that feeling of Link chasing down Yuga and the

Princess Zelda, while also being burdened (but glad to help) with saving

Hyrule’s opposite, Lorule. Additionally, her use of color really brings back recent memories of playing through this great new game, and has definitely

inspired me to go and pick up 3DS once again!

Next is a strikingly drawn digital piece by Onisuu.

Drawn to match her beauty, this rending of Zelda shows a sweet and innocent

side while also capturing her princess picturesque. All in all, this picture is… dare I say

it… cute and sweet?

Ahh, the double (or should I say Tri-… joke aborted) life of an adventurer is

so intriguing, isn’t it? Zeliga shows

our Hero in between the two Triforces (inverted and upright). Also shown in the

skillfully done pencil drawing, Zelda’s hand can be seen reaching for Link’s on

the left side, as well as Hilda reaching out for The Great Hero on his right.

This picture is a great representation of the “two sides of the same coin”

effect, and definitely “links” both sides quite literally.

Continuing on the Princess track, Finni gives us a serene duet. Both princesses that we

have come to love are both together, further expanding on the “two worlds

connected” vibe that seems to leave quite an impact on the players! This piece

definitely hits the right spot with its remarkable use of light and line art.

To end our venture into deviantArt, we finish with

a spectacular piece from ThaL-DAWB showcasing Hyrule and Lorule in all of their top-down glory.

From the top of the picture, we see Lorule with the

painting form of Link. As you move down to the middle, we see the lovely

princesses once again. On the bottom half, we get our good old Hyrule in top-down glory as

well, with Link in his regular state, though the series seems to not want him

to always stay that way… (wolf, bunny, Minish sized, and now a painting).

Throughout the picture as a whole, we also see statues of each of the sages

scattered about, adding another clever flare to the already spectacular piece

of art. Definitely going to be on my monitor somewhere because this picture is sure to

keep your eyes busy for a while!

Okay guys and gals that’s just about it for

toda-…just kidding! You can’t just forget Ravio. If I recall, I haven’t seen

much of any new cosplay recently…especially for A Link Between Worlds. Though that is probably due to the fact that

the game came out roughly two months ago or so, it was still surprising since Hyrule Warriors fan art was uploaded the

day the trailer was released. Now, the wait is over! Thanks to Ddkisin for this

great cosplay, we get to see a living Ravio in all his mysteriousness, holding

his prized Wii U (maybe that is why he was saving up all those rupees in that

gigantic bag in your house). So, how much for that Wii U then, Ravio?
