In the beggining of the game, link finds himself at Niko's house, right before Alfonso arrives. It is Link's graduation day, but first he must pass a final test: drive to the castle. There he meets Zelda, asking him to drive her to the Tower of Spirits. Unfortunately, the spirit tracks disappear. Then, an evil train, called the Demon Train, arrives, which Cole and Byrne used to get there. He takes Zelda's body, leaving her spirit behind. Since the spirit tracks disappeared, Link takes the secret path to reach the Tower of Spirits. There he meets Anjean, one of the Lokomos. She explains him that the demon king could be freed by Cole. Link must beat all the temples to restore the Tower of Spirits.

This article is about the rails. For the game, see The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

The Spirit Tracks are the railroad tracks in the game The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Link uses them to traverse the realms throughout his adventure. They start to disappear at the beginning of the game and Link must get them back throughout his adventure. They can be expanded using Force Gems and Lokomo Songs.

After completing each temple, a new set of rails can be acquired by completing puzzles in the Tower of Spirits. After doing so, new railmaps can be obtained, making the world very large towards the end.
