Shard of Dinraal's Spike is a material found in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
Shards of Dinraal's Spikes can be obtained by running along Dinraal's back and gathering the small spikes which protrude from the edges of the main spikes - note that doing so without taking damage requires Flame Guard, such as from the Flamebreaker Set. When fused to a weapon, they make the weapon blunt, but also turn the weapon into a fire weapon akin to a Flameblade or Flamespear. When fused to a shield, they increase friction while Shield Surfing, but boost a shield bash attack. Carrying such a Fused Weapon or Fused Shield increases Link's temperature, which can reduce the need for Cold Resistance.
Fifteen shards are needed to upgrade the Trousers of the Wild to ★★★★ level, but there are no quests which require them. They can be sold to shop-vendors all over Hyrule for 30 Rupees each, or used as a crimson dye ingredient at the Kochi Dye Shop.
