You can get the Magical Boomerang in the first quest by getting to level 2, The Moon (by defeating three blue Goriya), and in the second quest it can be obtained in level 3, The Manji. In this game, the Magical Boomerang is blue and will travel the whole size of the screen. It could kill a Keese in a single hit.

A Link to the Past

In A Link to the Past, Link can acquire the Magical Boomerang by throwing the regular Boomerang into the Waterfall of Wishing and getting the magical one in return from the fairy living there. The Magical Boomerang flies much farther than the regular one and can but down plants and bushes. The Magical Boomerang in not required to beat the game.

Oracle of Seasons

In Oracle of Seasons, the Magical Boomerang can be found within the Ancient Ruins. The Magical Boomerang can fly farther than the regular boomerang and can cut down plants, bushed, and grass. In addition, the Magical Boomerang can be controlled and steered by holding down the item button and using the control pad.

The Minish Cap

In order to acquire the Magical Boomerang in The Minish Cap, Link must fuse Kinstones with Tingle and his look-alikes: Ankle, Knuckle, and David Jr. The Magical Boomerang can be controlled and steered by holding down the item button and using the control pad. This item is not required to beat the game.
