The Haunted Grove is a location in A Link to the Past found just west of Link's house. It is most likely called the Haunted Grove because of the Flute Boy that disappears when approached. Although entering this location in the dark world we can find that Flute Boy is actually stuck in the dark world and gives you the shovel so you can find his flute. Found so then talking to his father will result in the man realizing his sons fate and telling Link to keep the flute as it troubled him too much to look at. The flute is found by using the shovel on the stump located in the middle of the haunted grove. After link has talked to the old man he can play the flute for the Flute Kids bird.
