The Cursed Fairy, also known as the Fat Fairy is a character from A Link to the Past
The Cursed Fairy resides inside of a Mysterious Pond located within the Pyramid of Power. In order to gain access to this mysterious Pond, Link must first have completed the Ice Palace and Misery Mire. Once these two Dark World dungeons have been beaten, the Bomb Shop Owner will begin to sell a Super Bomb for the price of 100 Rupees. Link can use this Bomb to blow a hole within the Pyramid of Power on its lowest level. Link can enter the hole to find the Mysterious Pond.
The Mysterious Pond is almost identical to the other Mysterious Pond found within the Waterfall of Wishing. If Link tosses an item in, the Cursed Fairy will appear, asking if Link threw the item in. Specific items thrown into the Pond could cause Link to acquire a few upgrades. Most notably, if Link tosses in his Bow and Arrow and admits to doing so, the Cursed Fairy will reward his honesty with the Silver Arrows. These special arrows are needed to give Ganon his last blow.
If Link has acquired the Tempered Sword, he can toss it into the Mysterious Pond. If he acknowledges that he did throw it in, the Cursed Fairy will upgrade the sword to the ever so powerful Golden Sword.
Link can also throw in an empty Magic Bottle. If he acknowledges that he did throw it in, the Cursed Fairy will return the bottle, but this time filled with Green Potion.
