Anubis |
Anubis is an enemy that appears exclusively in Ocarina of Time.
Anubis are enemies that only appear in the Spirit Temple. They mirror Link's every movement and breathe fire at him if he swings the Sword. It is vulnerable to fire, and the only way to defeat it is to cast Din's Fire or use Fire Arrows. Link also can trick the Anubis to move into the fire trap that always appears in the room where the Anubis is present. However, do not throw a Bomb at an Anubis, because it occasionally splits into two new Anubis.
Trivia
- The enemy Anubis may be named and modeled after a jackal-headed god of the same name that is associated with mummification and the afterlife in ancient Egyptian religion.
