  • 28th - The Legend of Zelda was re-released on the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii U in Japan.
  • 29th - The Legend of Zelda was re-released on the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii U in Europe.
  • 30th - The Legend of Zelda was re-released on the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii U in North America.

  • 12th - The Adventure of Link was re-released on the Virtual Console for the Nintendo Wii U in North America.
  • 20th - The Wind Waker HD was released digitally for the Nintendo Wii U in North America.
  • 26th - The Wind Waker HD was released for the Nintendo Wii U in Japan.

October

  • 4th - The Wind Waker HD was released physically for the Nintendo Wii U in North America.
  • 4th - The Wind Waker HD was released for the Nintendo Wii U in Europe.

Interviews

  • January 23rd - Eiji Aonuma revealed The Wind Waker HD and briefly outlined the focus of the development of Zelda Wii U in a Nintendo Direct Wii U feature.
  • Jun 6th - Edge published an interview with Aonuma about his career and the upcoming A Link Between Worlds.
  • June 11th - Aonuma described the changes to The Winde Waker HD in more detail in a special E3 Developer Direct.
  • June 11th - Shigeru Miyamoto told GameInformer that Zelda Wii U won't be ready to show off until after the release of The Wind Waker HD.
  • June 12th - Miyamoto explained to GameIndustry International why Zelda Wii U didn't appear at E3 2013.
