Below is listing of terms common to the The Legend of Zelda series. This includes terms that are unique to only the Legend of Zelda series, as well as other common terms that are recorring throughout the series.

B

• Baba - a term used to denote plant-like enemies or objects that have bulb-features, and usually have tongues. This includes enemies such as Deku Baba or Boko Baba, as well as objects such as Boko Bulb, and bosses including Diababa.

D

• Deku - a term used to describe characters, items, enemies, or objects that are related to the forest or plant-life. This includes characters such as the Great Deku Tree or the Deku Royal Family, items such as Deku Sticks or Deku Nuts, enemies such as Deku Baba or Deku Scrubs, and objects such as a Deku Flower.

F

• Fos - a common suffix used to denote many enemies that have humanoid features, including that of Stalfos, Lizalfos, Aeralfos, Chilfos, and other enemies.
