The Second Quest Begins (pp. 26-37)

There is extensive coverage of the Second Quest of The Legend of Zelda. The feature, titled The Second Quest Begins, provides a full walkthrough of the entirety of the second quest. The Second Quest can be started by first completing the primary game quest, or more easily by entering the filename ZELDA. The second quest is very similar to the first quest, with the excepion of some Overworld screens being altered, as well as dungeons and hidden caves in different locations. The guide comes with an attached Overworld Map, showcasing all the locations.

There are full dungeon guides for the first 6 levels of the second quest, including full maps, artwork of the items, and locations of the dungeon bosses. For the final 3 dungeons, it shows a blacked out map of what the layout of the dungeon is, without showing all the rooms. The dungeon items and bosses are still mentioned, but not in the same detail as the earlier dungeons.

There a short preview of The Adventure of Link at the very end of the guide, giving a glimpse of what's to come. While The Adventure of Link had already been released well over a year ago in Japan, its North American release was immenant, and it would later be featured extensively in Volume 4 of Nintendo Power Magazine.

Howard & Nester (p. 55)

In the Howard & Nester comic, Nester can be seen playing the Legend of Zelda. Howard, the president of the Nintendo Fun Club is looking on, asking Nester if he has found the final two dungeons. Howards then goes on to give Nester hints as to where they are located in the Overworld Map.

Pak Watch (p. 86)

In the Pak Watch section, The Adventure of Link is mentioned as an upcoming title. The latest word at the time was the game was set for release in October of 1988, though in actuality, it didn't release until December 1st of the same year. The preview gives a short hint about the story of how Link needs to awaken a sleeping Princess Zelda.
