Summer is one of the four seasons. It is only mentioned in two The Legend of Zelda titles, Oracle of Seasons and Twilight Princess.

Oracle of Seasons
Summer is one of the four seasons thrown into chaos by Onox. It appears randomly throughout Holodrum and Link can control it with the Rod of Seasons. During summer, Vines grow and certain bodies of water dry up. This is also the season in which Mystery Seeds and Gale Seeds grow. It is the second season that Link acquires and is required to access the third dungeon, Poison Moth's Lair. It is acquired by going to the subrosian seaside, digging for a star shaped ore, trading the star-shaped ore in the subrosian shop for a ribbon, giving the ribbon to Rosa, using her to open locked doors & entering the second part of the Temple of Seasons.

The four seasons rotate every time Link visits the Fishing Hole. The summer season is best for catching fish. The rarer types of fish become easier to catch during the summer, and it is the only season when Link can catch the Hylian Loach.
