The Poe Collector makes his only appearance in Ocarina of Time and has a hobby and curiosity of collecting poes. The Poe Collector was alive at the time when Link was a child, however, when he became a ghost, it is unspecified how he died. Link encounters him as an adult, and sees him as a Poe Collector, as the name suggests. He collects poes in a cage that are angry spirits that hates life. After Ganondorf tormented Castle Town, the Poe Collector thought that it was a perfect time to start a shop there, which he calls the Ghost Shop.
