Springs are Zonai Devices from Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
"A Zonai device that contracts and then expands with enough power to bounce objects away from it. "
— In-game description
Springs can be obtained in Capsule form from Device Dispensers, and they can also be found in various places throughout Hyrule on both the Sky Islands and the Surface. Springs activate when struck, expanding with considerable force. Link can swing his weapon while standing on top of a spring to be launched into the air, and they can also be used to launch objects vertically and horizontally. Springs can be combined into a stack using Ultrahand to gain more power. They can also be climbed while contracted.
