The Cane of Somaria is obtained in the fifth dungeon in [[Labrynna]], the [[Crown Dungeon]].  It is primarily used to detect pits Link may fall through or block enemies from progressing. The blocks created  by the Cane of Somaria can be destroyed with a slash of the [[Sword]].  These blocks will harm certain enemies which come in contact.  The block ability of the Cane of Somaria comes in handy when stepping stones are needed during the side-scrolling portions.
