Skyward Sword Goddess Cubes

Below you will find a Goddess Cubes guide for Skyward Sword, listing every Goddess Cube found in the game, along with their Goddess Treasure. Link first learns about Goddess Cubes when he runs into Gorko the Goron within the Deep Woods. You need to perform a Skyward Strike (hold the Wiimote straight up to charge it up, then swing to release its power) on the Goddess Cube, sending it into the sky, unlocking a Goddess Treasure somewhere in the land above. Many of these Goddess Treasures can be found on random islands within the Sky, with some of them needing specific items in order to reach. Goddess Cube #1

Once you reach the Deep Woods and after you've crossed the tight ropes, you'll come across Gorko the Goron. This is the first Goddess Cube that you find, so Gorko will give you a rundown of how they work.

Adventure Pouch Slot

Just outside the Lumpy Pumpkin, near the front door.

Goddess Cube #2

Located just outside the entrance of the Skyview Temple.

Piece of Heart

On a small island just west of Pumpkin Landing.

Goddess Cube #3

After completed the Skyview Temple, jump into the water of the Skyview Spring. Run behind the Goddess Statue platform and you'll find it hiding behind it. If you missed this, don't worry, you can enter the temple again and pass through the boss chamber to get it.

Gold Rupee

On top of the Lumpy Pumpkin. Dive off your loftwing and aim with the Wiimote to land on top of the canvas above the front entrance.

Goddess Cube #4

Located right at the start of the Eldin Volcano Region. Just walk forward a bit and take the first left and drop down to the lower ledge to find the Goddess Cube.

Small Seed Satchel

On the island just west of Fun Fun Island.

Goddess Cube #5

After passing the Mogma who teaches you how to use Bomb Flowers, run ahead to the new area, passed the Bird Statue. The pathway split three ways. You can drop off the ledge to the left, turn to right, or run straight ahead. Go straight and you'll find a Goddess Statue waiting for you here.

Silver Rupee

On the upper portion of the island between Beedle's Island and Bamboo Island.

Goddess Cube #6

During your first journey through the Eldin Volcano, you'll access a small volcano. Once you jump down it, tilt the Wiimote to guide your fall and as you drop, you will see a Goddess Cube on the right. Hover over it and use the Sailcloth to glide your way down to the pillar with the cube. If you mess up, simply drop down and take the northern exit (air geyser) to return to the surface, circle around and try again.

Note: Because this chest is located within Thunderhead, you will be unable to get it until after activating the Light Tower, even though you can Strike it's Cube much earlier.
On the right side of the lower perimeter of the Isle of Songs.

Goddess Cube #7

Just to the left of the entrance to the Earth Temple you'll find some soft soil locations on the ground. Dig them up using the digging mitts and one of them will reveal an air geyser. Toss a bomb flower up the air geyser and it will blow up the nearby boulder, revealing the Goddess Cube.

Found behind the building on Bamboo Island.

Goddess Cube #8

Just to the right of the entrance to the Earth Temple, there are a series of bokoblins and small huts. Behind them, there is a ramp leading down to a Goddess Cube.

Treasure Medal

Land on the higher part of this small island and then use the vines to work your way down. The treasure chest is found just beyond the gated region.

Goddess Cube #9

In the northeast corner of the map is the giant sand slide. Slide down and into the left air geyser, which takes you to a higher platform. Just in front of it, there is a lower platform with the Goddess Cube. Jump down to that one and deliver a Skyward Strike.

Piece of Heart

Note: Because you need the Water Dragon's Scale to reach this one, you will be unable to get this chest until you complete the Silent Realm in Faron.
Jump into the main river of Skyloft and you'll find an underwater passageway at the base of the windmill. Follow this passageway and you'll reach the small pond within the storage shed, with the treasure chest located nearby.

Goddess Cube #10

At the beginning of Lanayru Mine (where the Bird Statue is), go to the far south to find a Goddess Cube.

Silver Rupee

On an island southeast of Beedle's Island. Drop down to the lower areaand use a bomb to blow up the rocky wall and reveal the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #11

The Goddess Cube is located at the southwest portion of the Lanayru Desert, near the sandy region. You'll have to use the hook beetle to grab a bomb and drop it on the nearby ampilus. Then, run on over and stand on the shell. Wait until your stamina meter is full and then run on over to the Goddess Cube.

Heart Medal

On the outer portion of the "volcano island" just east of the Lanayru light.

Goddess Cube #12

At the northwest part of the Temple of Time, there is a mine cart that you can activate using a timeshift stone. Activate it and ride it across the gap. Deliver a Skyward Strike to a Goddess Cube while on the mine cart. If you miss, don't worry, just hop back in and try again.

Just above Beedle's cave dwelling on Beedle's Island.

Goddess Cube #13

Use the Water Dragon's Scale to swim inside of the Great Tree. Once you exit the Great Tree, immediately look down below to see the Goddess Cube. Jump down to the west side of the tree to find the Goddess Cube.

Silver Rupee

Just south of the Knight Academy, there is a small island that is floating apart from the rest of Skyloft. Just off the nearby diving platform and tilt the Wiimote to glide to the island with the chest.

Goddess Cube #14

Once you have the Water Dragon's Scale climb to the top portion of the Great Tree. Once you are back outside, walk counter-clockwise around the tree for just a bit until you are at the southeast part of the tree. Look down below and you'll see the Goddess Cube. Carefully drop down to the area below and use your Sail Cloth to reach the Goddess Cube. Alternatively, if you want to wait until later on in the quest, you can get to this Goddess Cube easily by using the Clawshot.

Piece of Heart

Just east of the entrance to the Lanayru region is this "volcano island." Fly over it and dive off your loftwing to land inside the volcano. The Goddess Chest is located on an upper ledge inside, so you'll have to tilt the Wiimote to land on the platform before you fall too far. Alternatively, you can return here later when you have the Clawshots and grapple the target.

Goddess Cube #15

Once you have the Water Dragon's Scale climb to the top portion of the Great Tree. Near the very top area where you meet the Kikwi, you'll find an area of the Great Tree that sticks out towards the Viewing Platform. Just to the south of this area, hang off the ledge so that you can see down below. Goddes Cube #15 can be found here and there is a tight rope leading to another platform. Move until you are just above the other platform and then drop down to the area below. Walk across the tightrope to get to Goddess Cube #15.

Rupee Medal

Inside Thunderhead, just northeast of the Isle of Songs. Use the Digging Mitts on the soft soil here to access a regular treasure chest as long as you're here, then kill the Walltulas on the vines. Once they're taken care of, climb up and claim the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #16

While making your way through Lake Floria, you will come to a Bird Statue that is on the surface. Turn around and walk to the back end of this cavern to find the Goddess Cube in this area.

Gold Rupee

On the west side of Skyloft is a series of floating islands (one of which has the big waterfall). Using the Clawshots, you can latch onto the vines hanging from the edges to get up to the big island. From there, dive off the far northwest side and glide down safely to the island with the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #17

Requires: Clawshots
Found at the northeast portion of the Lanayru Desert. You'll have to blow up a crack in the wall at the northeast part of this region and then pass through the narrow corridor. Use your clawshots on the targets and at the end, you'll reach the Goddess Cube.

Heart Medal

Northeast part of the Sky, West of Beedle Island. Land on the lower area of the island and then dive into the water. Swim and do a water dash manuver to get out of the water and reach the chest.

Goddess Cube #18

Requires: Clawshots
Found just to the southwest of the Lanayru Mining Facility on one of the higher platforms.

Life Medal

West part of the Sky, northwest of Fun Fun Island. Land on the small island where you previous got a Goddess Chest. There are some vines you can climb down to reach the Goddess Chest that is at the bottom of the island.

Goddess Cube #19

This Goddess Cube is found at the north end of the entrance port (where you first meet Skipper) in the Lanayru Sand Sea. You'll have to use the clawshot on one of the boxes in order to reach the northern cavern. Watch out, there are tons of Arachs on the ceiling as you enter.

Gold Rupee

Found in the storage area just behind Gondo's Scrap Shop.

Goddess Cube #20

Found on a pillar within Skipper's Retreat. Just past the bridge with the Moblin, right when you reach a Quadro Baba, look to the left and you'll see a pillar with some vines. Use your Clawshots to reach it, climb around to the left, then Clawshot to the pillar with the Goddess Cube.

Potion Medal

Found just northwest of Fun Fun Island. Land on the smaller platform and you'll see a gate on the other side. Just above it is some vines that you can grapple over to. Do so and then drop down to reach the Goddess Chest.

Goddess Cube #21

After completing the Pirate Stronghold mini-dungeon and getting back outside, quickly turn around. You will see a clawshot target above the door. Claw on over and then to another target. This leads to an upper platform with a Goddess Cube.

Piece of Heart

On top of the waterfall island. Use the Clawshots on the northern island, then grapple onto the higher, big island to reach the chest.

Goddess Cube #22

Requires: Clawshots
Found just above the entrance to the Skyview Temple. Walk to the right of the structure and use your clawshot on the vines to get on top of the Temple and find the Goddess Cube.

Rupee Medal

This one is a bit tricky. It's located on Beedle's Island, but you it's unlikely you can access it normally (it's possible, but very difficult). Hmm... Enter Beedle's Airshop in Skyloft, then sleep on his bed to go to his island at night. Climb the ladder and hop into the dwelling where he sleeps (and hangs out with a Goddess Chest apparently - go figure).

Goddess Cube #23

Requires: Clawshots
Found just outside the entrance to the Ancient Cistern. If you are facing the pathway that leads to where the Water Dragon Faron is, and look up and to the left just a bit. There are some hanging vines here and they will lead to the Goddess Cube.

Gold Rupee

Found on the small island just beneath Fun Fun Island.

Goddess Cube #24

In the waterfall area of the Volcano Summit, there is a ledge where Link can dive off of. Run the ledge and tilt the Wiimote to glide forward. A lower platform behind a pillar will come into view, containing a Goddess Cube. Glide over to it and use the Sailcloth to land safely. After Striking the Cube, use the obvious path of vines to work your way back.

Piece of Heart

Bug Island in Thunderhead. The chest is found on a small wooden ledge at the southwest part of the island. To reach it, head to the very top and stand on the "castle-like" overhang above the water. Look over the edge. See the wooden platform below? Hop down and open the chest. To leave, Clawshot the nearby vines.

Goddess Cube #25

Face the entrance to the Fire Sanctuary. Turn left and climb out the window straight ahead. Use your clawshots on a number of pillars until you reach the Goddess Cube.

Small Bomb Bag

Within Thunderhead, found directly on top of the Isle of Songs tower.

Goddess Cube #26

During the song of the hero quest when you enter the Volcano Summit, the Goddess Cube is in the room just to the right. There are floating platforms that now appear and you can use one to get closer to the Goddess Cube and deliver a Skyward Strike. Altneriavely, you can stand on solid ground, get close to the edge, and you should be able to barely reach it (True Master Sword only).
Note: If you're playing the unlocked Hard Mode, you will have the maximum range Skyward Strike for the entire game, meaning you can technically get this Cube even earlier.

Bottle

Just southwest of the Isle of Songs is an island with only one landable spot. Use the Mogma Mitts to dig into the hole and either defeat or avoid the moldorm. Climb out the bottom hole, then climb the vines to reach the chest.
Note: Even though you can potentially get its corresponding Cube early, you will be unable to get this treasure until after obtaining the Mogma Mitts.

Goddess Cube #27

During the song of the hero quest when you reach the Lanayru Gorge you'll find the Goddess Cube off in the distance in the northeast corner of the map. It is located right near the tree seedling.

Small Quiver

Like the last one, it's on the island southwest of the Isle of Songs. Enter the underground cavern and either defeat or avoid the moldorm. Climb out of the upper hole to reach the final chest.
