- You'll first want to leave North Castle, so keep walking left or right to do so. Follow the zigzag path and go north and walk into the lone forest square. Walk to the right while avoiding the Aches to get a Point Bag with 50 points. This will automatically get you to the next level, and the first one you get is a level up to your health. A quick note on leveling up: Leveling your health will make it so you can't take as much damage. Leveling up magic makes it so Spells don't take as much. Leveling attack obviously makes enemies take less hits.
- Backtrack to the zigzag path and go southeast this time. Try to get some points in the forests and grass. If one of the enemies touches you on a trail, it leads to a battle scene with nothing. Find the Town of Rauru, and enter it.

- Point Bags are sometimes found in hidden locations and occasionally after you kill an enemy. You can get as little as 50 points, or as much as 500. They will be vital on your quest in making you stronger.

- Shield turns Link's tunic red. It makes you take damage only by half. This is one of the most least demanding, but useful Spells in the whole game.

- Keep walking through town. Just for the record, some people in every town will give you hints on a palace nearby (if there is one), and everything else. Some who walk out of their houses will give you life or magic if you walk in their house with them, and some say they know nothing. Keep walking until a lady comes out of her house that is white. Talk to her and she'll tell you to talk with her father.
- Walk inside and she'll tell you that every town has a Wise Man, so continue and talk to the Wise Man. He'll give your first Spell, Shield. This Spell will double your defense, making you take only half damage from everything when it's in use. Another note, in later towns you will have to do a small errand for the person who also lives in the house of the town's Wise Man before they let you in to talk to him.
- It's time to go to Parapa Desert. We need to get one thing in a hidden part of the desert before we head off to the palace. It'll definitely make Parapa Palace a lot easier. Leave the Town of Rauru.

This darkness is only temporary. |
|
- Go through Parapa Cave northwest of Rauru. Inside there are some Lowders, but they can easily be caught in the darkness if you shoot some sword beams. Note: You can only shoot sword beams when you have full health. Once you get out, go east until you reach the water, then go south down the narrow path.
- Jump over the Air Bubbles and don't fall in the water. Falling in liquids makes you lose one of your three lives. You'll encounter many more action scenes that you cannot skip like this later as well. Walk into the small square of grass in the small forest area.
|
Avoid the Air Bubbles and cross. |

- Lowders are only found in caves. They move slow, but will speed up if they're looking at Link. Crouch down to hit them, they're very short so they won't get hit if you're standing.

- Found in deserts, Geldarms are tall enemies that can be lowered by slashing them. Attack their heads when they're down.
- However, destroying them can be quite hard since Rocks are moving back and forth on the screen. If you leave the Geldarm alone for a bit, it will rise back up so hurry up.

- Like Rocks, Air Bubbles are also immune to being killed. They rise up from the ground in certain action scenes.
- Do not jump across cliffs and such if there's one coming up from the pit or if there's one coming up on the other side. You'll most likely fall to your death if you do so.

- Go right while jumping over the stones. I recommend you kill the Goriya first before you grab the Heart Container. Your life gauge has now been increased a little. When you're done, backtrack all the way to Parapa Desert. It's time to finally go to the palace. |

 Introducing Parapa Palace! |
|
| ~ Approaching The Palace ~ |
- On your way back, you'll have to do the action scene with the Air Bubbles again, but this time you go throw it backwards. To get easy health and/or magic, go back to Rauru and speak with certain people that come out of houses. Ladies will restore your health, and old women will restore your magic.
- I highly recommend you save the game and die if you don't have three lives. It'll be harder without the three together unless you're a veteran player. I wouldn't even think about entering without maximum lives, full health and magic, etc. A few 1UPs reside in Hyrule, but none are nearby at the moment, and you can only grab each of them one time. Save them for the later levels or when you're in dire need. Get ready, these palaces are far different type-wise from any other Zelda title to date. Enter Parapa Palace.
