 - Leave the North Castle by going either left or right. Follow the path, veering North when you come to the intersection. Walk into the lone forest square and move right while avoiding the Aches to get your first Point Bag worth 50 points. This will earn you an immediate level up, upgrading your health.

 - Backtrack to the zigzag path and go southeast this time. Try to get some points in the forests and grass. If one of the enemies touches you on a trail, it leads to a battle scene with nothing. Find the Town of Rauru, and enter it.
P O I N T   B A G S
 - Point Bags are sometimes found in hidden locations and occasionally after you kill an enemy. You can get as little as 50 points, or as much as 500. They will be vital on your quest in making you stronger.

 - Blue Potions restore can restore one bar of your magic gauge. They are most commonly found inside of enemies after you kill them.

This is where you start all the time.

 - Bots are very simple enemies. They just move slowly around the screen. Not very hard at all.

 - Moblins use spears to attack. Some throw them at you, while others just try to stab you.

 - Aches are bats that live in caves. They fly down to the ground in attempt to hurt you then fly back up.

First level up you'll get.

Go inside her house.

Listen to what she says.

 ~ Rauru Town ~

There is one Wise Man in each town.
S H I E L D
 - Shield turns Link's tunic red. It makes you take damage only by half. This is one of the most least demanding, but useful Spells in the whole game.

 - Keep walking through town. Just for the record, some people in every town will give you hints on a palace nearby (if there is one), and everything else. Some who walk out of their houses will give you life or magic if you walk in their house with them, and some say they know nothing. Keep walking until a lady comes out of her house that is white. Talk to her and she'll tell you to talk with her father.

 - Walk inside and she'll tell you that every town has a Wise Man, so continue and talk to the Wise Man. He'll give your first Spell, Shield. This Spell will double your defense, making you take only half damage from everything when it's in use. Another note, in later towns you will have to do a small errand for the person who also lives in the house of the town's Wise Man before they let you in to talk to him.

 - It's time to go to Parapa Desert. We need to get one thing in a hidden part of the desert before we head off to the palace. It'll definitely make Parapa Palace a lot easier. Leave the Town of Rauru.

 ~ Parapa Desert ~

This darkness is only temporary.
 - Go through Parapa Cave northwest of Rauru. Inside there are some Lowders, but they can easily be caught in the darkness if you shoot some sword beams. Note: You can only shoot sword beams when you have full health. Once you get out, go east until you reach the water, then go south down the narrow path.

 - Jump over the Air Bubbles and don't fall in the water. Falling in liquids makes you lose one of your three lives. You'll encounter many more action scenes that you cannot skip like this later as well. Walk into the small square of grass in the small forest area.

Avoid the Air Bubbles and cross.
D E E L E R
 - Deelers are spiders that hang on the trees in forests. They will only come down if you're below them.

 - Lowders are only found in caves. They move slow, but will speed up if they're looking at Link. Crouch down to hit them, they're very short so they won't get hit if you're standing.

 - Rocks fly back and forth in deserts in great numbers. They can't be killed, so avoid them.

 - Found in deserts, Geldarms are tall enemies that can be lowered by slashing them. Attack their heads when they're down.

 - However, destroying them can be quite hard since Rocks are moving back and forth on the screen. If you leave the Geldarm alone for a bit, it will rise back up so hurry up.

 - Like Rocks, Air Bubbles are also immune to being killed. They rise up from the ground in certain action scenes.

 - Do not jump across cliffs and such if there's one coming up from the pit or if there's one coming up on the other side. You'll most likely fall to your death if you do so.

 - Go right while jumping over the stones. I recommend you kill the Goriya first before you grab the Heart Container. Your life gauge has now been increased a little. When you're done, backtrack all the way to Parapa Desert. It's time to finally go to the palace.
M O B Y
 - Just like Tinsuits, these birds take away experience points upon contact. They fly down, then fly fast in one direction or the other.

 - Goriyas come in a couple different colors. Their main weapon is two boomerangs that they like to throw at Link.

 - Your first Heart Container. It increases your life gauge a little every time you find one.

 - Four Heart Containers can be found in Hyrule. Two in Western Hyrule, and two in Eastern Hyrule. You won't have a full gauge until near the end of the game.

Introducing Parapa Palace!
 ~ Approaching The Palace ~

 - On your way back, you'll have to do the action scene with the Air Bubbles again, but this time you go throw it backwards. To get easy health and/or magic, go back to Rauru and speak with certain people that come out of houses. Ladies will restore your health, and old women will restore your magic.

 - I highly recommend you save the game and die if you don't have three lives. It'll be harder without the three together unless you're a veteran player. I wouldn't even think about entering without maximum lives, full health and magic, etc. A few 1UPs reside in Hyrule, but none are nearby at the moment, and you can only grab each of them one time. Save them for the later levels or when you're in dire need. Get ready, these palaces are far different type-wise from any other Zelda title to date. Enter Parapa Palace.

Your first Heart Container!

They steal experience points.
 - The map above is to show you what the entrance to every palace looks like. Later ones will have different colors, and also have Red Potions or Ironknuckles inside the statues if you slash at them. Some later ones have enemies at the entrance as well. Proceed and go down the elevator.

 - Go left first. Slash at the Tinsuits as they come by. They steal experience points, so watch out. Keep going west and a Stalfos will appear out of nowhere. Kill it by slashing its legs and proceed. Slash at the Key to pick it up. A Key will disappear after it is used on one locked door. Return to the first elevator.

Slash Keys to grab them.

 - Tinsuits simply run around palaces. Keep slashing at them while you run, they steal points from you.

 - A Stalfos is armed with a sword and shield. Crouch down and slash at their legs.

 - Early on in the game, Stalfos can be very helpful at getting you leveled up if you're good at killing them.

 - Keep on going east until you can't anymore. Avoid the Bubbles since they steal magic from you. Try to kill every Stalfos in sight since they give you a lot of experience points. When you reach a dead-end from going east, you'll find a fairy. Grab it since it completely restores your health. Go up the elevator on the left.

 ~ Key Run ~

 - Keep following the path while killing any Tinsuits that run by. Jump up the stairs, grab the Key, and proceed. Wait for an opening in the Mace Thrower's maces and jump through. Destroy it and grab the Key. Slash the statue to get a Red Potion (Red Potions will restore your magic completely). Go back to the room that had the fairy in it.

 - From the room that had the fairy, keep going west until you come across another elevator. This time go down it.

They restore your health completely.

Toughest enemy yet...

 - Bubbles move around the room. They also steal magic from you every time they touch you.

 - Mace Throwers throw maces constantly. Wait for an opening and attack them.

 - They get you a lot of points, so in early levels they'll help you level up a lot. Only dare to kill them if you feel bold enough.

 - Go west after you come down the elevator. Four Bubbles are found down here. The third one moves very fast, so watch out. After this room, you'll face the hardest obstacle in the whole palace.

Ironknuckles are evil.

The Candle!

Not another one...

 ~ Getting The Candle ~

 - Jump up the stairs and kill the Bots. The bridge disintegrates wherever you walk on it, so don't hesitate. If you feel bold, grab the Point Bag to get 50 points. On the other side, go down the stairs and kill the Bots. Enter the next room, but prepare yourself. It has an Ironknuckle in it, so use jump thrusts on the top of it to take it down. When you kill it, open the locked door to get the Candle!

 - The Candle lets you see in caves. Every item found in The Adventure of Link is used in Hyrule. Items cannot be used physically by Link, they are used automatically, except for the Hammer. When you get it, backtrack to the room that had the fairy.
I R O N K N U C K L E
 - Ironknuckles come in three colors. They all have tough armor and a sword with a shield.

 - Blue ones can actually shoot beams from their sword. This makes blue ones the toughest ones to defeat.

 - With this, you can see in caves. This will definitely be a very used item for the rest of the game.

 - This time go down the elevator. Kill the Ironknuckle and proceed, and keep killing the Stalfos while going up the stairs made of blocks. Unlock the door and kill the Mace Thrower, then kill the Ironknuckle. Proceed into the boss room.

Palace Boss: Horsehead
Recommended Spells:
 Shield
Required Spells:
 None
Threat:

 - This fight is simple for being a first one. Enable the Shield Spell and start to slash at his head!

 - However, he'll always try to slowly corner you. Counter this by hitting him back a lot. Watch out for his mace!
Damage:
 Medium
Speed:
 Slow

Use the Shield Spell.

Jump and attack his head!

 - Horsehead has a mace for a weapon. He wears armor, making his head his only weak point. Jump and slash his head to inflict damage on him. For every boss, their health meter is on the left side of the screen. It'll start to get white from the top down when you start hurting him.

 - He walks slow, but you need to act fast to make sure he doesn't corner you. You get cornered and it'll take a toll on your health. Take the Key and leave the room after you kill him.
Summary:

 - Destroy Horsehead by slashing at his head. Use the Shield Spell since it'll help you not die. He will walk towards you slowly, attempting to corner you. If he does happen to, you'll most likely take loads of damage. Once you get the hang of it, you should be able to hit him several times in a row. Keep doing this until Horsehead is defeated.
View Full Boss Description

Five more to go!
 - After Horsehead explodes, you'll get 50 experience points, and a Key. Proceed east and unlock the door. Go onto the statue and the crystal will be placed in it. Every other palace has the same setup. After returning a crystal, you'll automatically get full health and magic, and a free level up. Congrats!
