Karson is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
Link first meets Karson on the outskirts of Hateno Village when he is one of the men demolishing a house in Hateno Village. After Link purchases the house from Bolson and starts the Hylian Homeowner sidequest, Karson remains near the house with Bolson, sitting under a tree and helping his boss to construct various accessories and fitments for the house.
Karson later travels with Bolson to Tarrey Town to attend the wedding of his co-worker Hudson. If Bolson is talked to subsequently, he and Karson return to their spot near Link's house and do not leave again.
Tears of the Kingdom
Karson can be found at Lookout Landing. Early in the game he can be seen chopping wood to gather Building Materials. At first he seems too preoccupied to talk to Link as he is chopping wood, but once he realizes it is Link, he stops and is excited to see him. He encourages Link to go give Purah a visit.[1][2]
Karson can also be found in Lookout Landing, near the Southern Gate, pondering ideas for a Stable. He hopes to someday build a Mini Stable at the Lookout. He mentions that Lester has come to Lookout Landing to look after the horses and that it would be really helpful if there was a proper stable.[3]
The Incomplete Stable

After completing one Regional Phenomena, Link can speak with either Karson or Lester to begin The Incomplete Stable Side Quest. Lester will ask when the stable will be ready, in which Karson responds that it will still be awhile as he needs get the last of the roof planks properly fitted.[4][5] In talking to him, Karson wants to finish up construction, but isn't quite sure how to best fit the last roof plank in.[6]
Link is able to use Ultrahand and place the last roof plank right in its proper spot. Karson is delighted that it fits perfectly.[7] He thanks Link and says that now that the roof is complete, he can put the finishing touches on the stable.[8][9] After a few moments, Karson will finish up work and the mini-stable will be complete.[10][11][12] The stable will now be complete and Link can now speak with Lester to board horses.[13]
After completing the quest, Karson stands beside the mini-stable, admiring his work.[14] He encourages Link to use the stable to board his horses.[15]
