Menter is a character found in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom

Menter can be found at a camp site in Hyrule Field, just southwest of the Hyrule Field Chasm. He mentions that Hoz's Squad is found just to the south, awaiting battle with a group of monsters.[1] Menter is responsible for preparing weapons for the crew, but since many of the crew members are amateurs that don't know how to use a sword, they prefer to just use their farming tools instead. Menter will encourage Link to take whatever he needs.[2] Menter hopes that somebody with more experience could help the monster-control crew fight off the monsters.[3]

After completing the Bring Peace to Hyrule Field! quest, Menter and Suzuna move along with the entirety of Hoz's Squad, over the Kakariko Bridge. They are gearing for an attack on Fort Hateno as part of the Bring Peace to Necluda! quest.

  1. "Sorry, I'm a little preoccupied to deal with travelers right now. That's what you are, right? A traveler? It isn't safe here. Captain Hoz's squad of the monster-control crew is going to engage the monsters around here soon. I bet you by now, they're already locked in combat with the monsters at the lair to the south. I'm not going to stop you if you want to go watch the sparks fly, but at least take some precautions first." — Menter, Tears of the Kingdom
  2. "Say, you wouldn't happen to be having any equipment troubles, would you? The gear I've got laid out here is all repaired and ready to use, but... The monster-control crew has a lot of amateurs who never really learned how to swing a sword. They say that they're more comfortable with their farm tools, so they left all my nice and shiny gear behind. From what I've seen, you'd be better suited to use this stuff than that bunch. Take it with my blessing, and give the monsters one for me, all right?" — Menter, Tears of the Kingdom
  3. "The monster-control crew has a lot of amateurs who never really learned how to swing a sword. It'd help them out if someone with more experience fighting monsters would pitch in." — Menter, Tears of the Kingdom
