A Great Fairy Fountain can be found in the south-east corner. There are some rocks blocking the path to the cave, but they can be blown up with Bombs. Once inside, Link can play Zelda's Lullaby in order to summon the Great Fairy. She will then reward Link with Farore's Wind. This can be done in any timeframe.

To access it for the first time, Link must get King Zora to move by showing him Ruto's Letter, saying that she is trapped inside Lord Jabu-Jabu. In order to get inside of Lord Jabu-Jabu, Link has to give him an offering of Fish, at which time Lord Jabu-Jabu will open his mouth to eat the Fish, sucking Link in with it.
After restoring Jabu-Jabu to normal by destroying Barinade and rescuing Ruto, she thanks Link, invades his personal space, and then gives him the Zora's Sapphire.

Seven years later, the area is dotted with ice platforms and is very cold. By hopping across the ice, the Ice Cavern can be accessed, giving Link Blue Fire to thaw King Zora, and the Iron Boots and Serenade of Water to get to the Water Temple.
Later, once Link has the Silver Gauntlets, he can come back and move the remaining rock in front of the Great Fairy Fountain, giving access to a path with a number of Skulltulas guarding a Gold Skulltula.
