Nintendo Power: May/June 1990 is the 12th issue of Nintendo Power magazine. Up through the end of 1990, Nintendo Power magazine volumes were released covering two-month periods of time, and they were not generally numbered in or on the magazine until Volume 16 (September/October 1990), although "Strategy Guide" issues before this carried a dual "SGxx/NPxx" numbering.

Nintendo Power Awards '89 (pp. 26-29)
The Nintendo Power Awards '89 winners are published in this volume of Nintendo Power. While content from the Zelda series was nominated in three categories, The Adventure of Link took home one win, taking the price of Best Character for Link, in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. The best overall game of the year went to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Top 30 (pp. 44-44)
In this volumes Top 30, The Adventure of Link drops down to the number 5 spot, while The Legend of Zelda bumps up to number 4, surpassing Adventure of Link. Legend of Zelda comes in with 4,916, while Adventure of Link has 3,928 points. For a second consecutive ranking, The Adventure of Link didn't make the Dealers' Picks list, but remained strong on the Players' and Pros' picks.
