When Link first arrives at the island, Basht can be seen guarding a passage on the first floor that leads out to the [[Dragon Roost Pond]]. Basht will comment that the bridge leading to [[Dragon Roost Cavern]] is out and that there is no way to get inside. He also suggests that Link is not able to swim across as the pond is completely dried up and there is no water.
