I'm still in middle school, but my mother is already pressuring me to figure somethin' out. I
used to want to be a doctor, but I'm over that. I'd never be able to live with the guilt if something went wrong. Knowing me, I'm a lawsuit waiting to happen anyway.
More recently, I wanted to be a scientist. Specifically, an astronomer (probably). I love to learn about the stars, planets, and galaxies far from our own. My dream projects are to study dark matter (it exists), and study black holes. You know, find out where they go, what they really are. If you think about it, black holes seem a bit like magic. Random vortexes that suck things up into them, and you have no idea where anything goes!
However, my newest ambition is to play basketball. I play travel basketball now, and it's made me realize that b-ball is a sport I could imagine myself playing as a career. Granted, the WNBA is pretty tiny now, but who knows what it'll be like in 10 years?
Now, if I do make the WNBA, I've planned out a get-rich-quick method. You see, my greatest dream is to own the New York Yankees. I need to whip those boys into shape! So, really, sports is the quickest way to make a lot of money, which I will certainly need.... I think the franchise is worth more than 10 billion dollars!
Yeah, that seems highly improbable, but it's okay to dream. I would still like to play basketball regardless. As a back-up plan, I would choose science, because I am naturally good at it and I've gotten straight A's since forever. Not one B. Ever.
Anything's possible.
