Yeah, but just to have tests.
I live in Brazil, and it is common in high schools here.
Here, we usually have classes only in the morning. My school, for example starts at 7:10 am and finishes at 12:50, but it is common in high school too to have, besides classes in saturdays, classes in the afternoon of certain days of the week too.

Where do you live, how are the schools there?

Mine ended last monday, and I already have a test next saturday.
