This credits method is really interesting! And it seems very funcional too.

But I don't know what method I preffer, because the feeling of learning a big variety of things at once is nice on its own way.

Ah, for me it's not very hard, I can learn things very fast, but most people think it's very hard. There are people in my class that have already given up passing the year -_-" (here, each school year starts in the beggining of the year, so I've been in first year of high school since february).

We can't choose what to do like you, we can't choose between algebra, trigonometry and geometry, for example, we have to know all of them. In high school, our biggest concern is to get into a public university, which are the best ones. It doesn't matter which course we will try to enroll, everything will be charged in the tests we do to try to get into it, so it doesn't matter if we will want to enroll to biology, we will need to know math. But even if we wanted to get into a private university we would have to do tests, because there is a law that says that every university have to have tests to choose the people who will enter it, but the private university tests are easier from public ones, which is kind of fair, since we have to pay them and they are a lot inferior to the public ones.

But it is known that public schools aren't that hard. I study in a private school. They are pretty common here. They are expensive, but affordable for the middle class, so most middle and up classes parents preffer to put their children in a private school for them to have more chances to go to a public university.

What do you mean by "Honors"? Sign up? Do you mean you can choose which subjects you want to study?

Here every subject is mandatory. I study algebra, geometry, chemestry I and II, phisics I and II, biology, portuguese, redection, literature, english, spanish, history of art, music, performing arts, hystory, geography, phylosophy, sociology, physical education, but everyone does private classes in the afternoon, of languages (english (mainly), german, french, spanish, etc. I have already done japanese ), some kind of sport or academy, music classes, etc. Who doesn't have money to pay private classes have the option to make extracurricular activities in public schools.

It's my first year in high school too!
It's not that bad yet, but I heard that people from the third year of high school (here, high schools just have three years) stop doing everything because they have to spent all time they have studying, It seems like they have at least three books of each subject, At least, this is the reality in private schools.
