Beta
The beta for Ocarina of Time holds many mysteries. Although nobody knows for sure what the original plot of the game was in the beta, there are some facts known. In early stages of development, the Lost Woods were a fully 3D environment. Remnants of a location dubbed the Unicorn Fountain by fans have also been found in Ocarina of Times code, though it cannot be found in the regular game. One early video showed Link receiveing the full Triforce, causing many rumors that it could be obtained in the game. Several people suggested that the Unicorn Fountain was related to the Triforce. However, there is no proof that the Triforce ever was or is in the game's code. Another cool fact about the beta is that the medallions received from the Sages were items that granted special powers. It is believed that they were initially used to warp instead of the Ocarina of Time. An unnamed group of ROM Hackers managed to find a frozen NPC in the game's data of a character who they believed was supposed to replace Navi. The hackers are currently working at trying to make her fully functional and hope to eventually release a patch that makes her compatible with the current game Additionally, the code for two medallions that are not seen in the game appeared that translate into Wind Medallion and Earth Medallion.
An expansion to Ocarina of Time, known as Ura Zelda, was planned to make use of the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive and add new dungeons.IGN August 27th, 1999 However, Eiji Aonuma did not like the project and asked Miyamoto for permission to make an entirely new Zelda game within a year so that he did not have to work on it any longer. Miyamoto agreed, and this game became Majora's Mask, code-named Zelda Gaiden at the time. The rest of Ura Zelda became Master Quest.

The Beta
The beta for Ocarina of time held very many mysteries. Although nobody knows for sure what the original plot of the game was in the beta we do know allot of facts about it. In early stages of Development, you were originally able to play the lost woods as a fully immersed 3D enviroment. This was capable of course with the Commercial Failure Add-on to the Disk Drive called The Nintendo 64 Disk Drive. Originally there was an expansion to Ocarina of Time Called URA Zelda. URA Zelda held an all new quest, Items to acquire, New dungeons and so much more. We think that in URA you were actually able to obtain the Triforce at one point through the unicorn fountain. Remnants of the unicorn fountain have been found in Ocarina of times Code however, Nobody can actually Prove that was were you can get the triforce. Another cool fact about the beta is that the Medallions were items that you could combine to your arrows to give them enchanted powers. In an Interview with Miyamoto back in 97' he was talking about how he wanted URA to be a place were every action had a consequence for example stepping in sand left a foot print permanently. and how chopping down a tree would leave that tree chopped down until it grew back etc. There was also another expansion for Ocarina of time which later got ported to a cartridge. This was probably the most memorable game released yet. The legend of Zelda Majoras Mask Was code named Gaiden. Zelda Gaiden had far less changes than OOT and the only reason it was made was because one of the programmers on URA lost faith in the project. So he bargained with Miyamoto that if he made a new Zelda title within a year he wouldn't have to work on URA anymore. So eventually he made it and it was ported to Cartridge because of the poor sales of the N64 DD. Back to URA Zelda a unnamed group of ROM Hackers managed to find a frozen NPC in teh games data of a Charecter who was supposed to replace Navi in URA. The Hackers are currently working at trying to make her fully functional and hope to eventually release a patch that makes her fully functional. Also The code for 2 memdallions appeared they translate into Wind medallion and Earth Medallion (Translations may not be 100% accurate. Also a odder who goes by the name ZethN64 attempted to re-create URA however, the project was scrapped. On the bright side a file of leaks from his project were released and contain his work for an earth temple and patches for link etc. According to an interview with Miyamoto from 2002 "URA was finished however, will never be released to the general public". According to an unnamed employee it is currently in a safe somewhere at Nintendo of Japan Headquarters.
