The '''Spirit of the Mansion''' is a voice that is heard in the [[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX|DX version]] and ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019)|remake]]'' of ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening|Link's Awakening]]''. The owner of the voice is never seen, but it speaks to [[Link]] in his visits to the [[Seashell Mansion]]. When he first enters the building, the spirit greets him and tells him to collect [[Secret Seashell]]s to banish the darkness.{{Ref|LADX|459|Spirit of the Mansion}} After that, if Link arrives with a particular number of seashells, the spirit will reward him with another seashell as a gift. Otherwise, there is no response from the being.{{Ref|LADX|460|N/A}} In the DX version, once Link collects 20 or more seashells, the spirit says that his job is finished, and then the [[Koholint Sword]] appears.{{Ref|LADX|461|Spirit of the Mansion}} However, the Spirit of the Mansion speaks more in the remake, instructing Link to raise his sword overhead after retrieving 40 Secret Seashells to turn it into the Koholint Sword.
